As an adult onset athlete, with a chronic back condition, I really did not believe that I would ever be able to run without back pain. Thanks for the heads up, the book and DVD are great.
I'm in the middle of reading your book. I think this stuff will be very helpful for me (45 yr old, mtn biker, trail runner, long ago swimmer, getting into off-road tri, plagued by leg injuries since turning 40 -ITB, calf, knees (body is out of warranty ??)). I've read Friel's Tri bible and also have the bike training book published last yr by Lynda W., so the training plan stuff is familiar, but the run technique part of your book is exactly what I've needed.......I think your explanation of training intensity is also the most helpful I've read.
